Personally, I found it a bit slow. One will remember, Music in not on the page; it’s in the ear. I would love to hear your own arrangement of this great piece. You have access to a wonderful instrument and I’m sure you have the skill. So, why not? Sent with love. CVD
WOW, Sean! Outstanding! excellent! You are by all means a very gifted musician and a FINE organist. I think both Bach and Fox would have been very pleased.ALSO, PLEASE tell us what and where that organ is, it sounds great.Thank you and God Bless you my brother from another mother… (:
Great performance! I am really thankful for the lyrics – that’s great idea you put them! Thanks to it we can understand the music and Bach’s idea much better!
Two people need prayer.
Sean may I say as an organist, this is one of my favorite all time pieces to play.. I just played this this morning at AM services and every one liked it….You have a very blessed gift from God and you played this piece at the right speed…. God bless… I really like listening to hear you play! 🙂
Sparkling. Thank you.
Sean, I listen to you play this wonderful piece every day, It helps me cope. Great Job!!
Where is this magnificent instrument located ? John Carleton Sacramento Ca.
Virgil Fox would be very pleased to hear you playing this the way you do. It may be secular to say so, but it actually swings.
Very pleasant rendition and I am pleased with your smile at the end which shows you also enjoyed the piece. More grace and thanks for sharing.
Thanks Danny.
My God how beautiful !
The best I’ve ever heard it!
“In one hand I have Now Thank We All Our God by J.S. Bach, and in the other…Martin Luther. Grab hold will you???!!!” – Virgil Fox
Excellent version! Too many organists rush this piece — your tempo is just right.
I really like when you play Bach’s – Toccata Fugue in D minor.
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Today (February 10), I played this for Sunday School Assembly.
Dr. Jackson, this is truly a magnificent rendition. Your phrasing, articulation, and registration is fantastic. Great sounding organ. I enjoyed listening to your performance.
Beautifully played. Wonderful technique and tempo. Thank you on this Thanksgiving Day, 2012.

No. It’s a 6800 pipe organ (116 ranks) that is essentially an American classic. It started off as a Roosevelt but eventually E. M. Skinner took it over. It was revoiced by Bruce Shultz of Philadelphia in the early 90s.
Is this an Allen organ? It has very similar program buttons under the manuals.
Perfectly played. And the articulation is just right for the live acoustic. You can hear every note! Bravo!
Immaculate..perfect pacing.registration.dignified and elegant..truly played to the greater glory of God.thankyou..
3:49 : whew!!! that was some Christ praisin’!

Blessings to you Sean, always love to hear your music, may God continue to bless you and keep you in his care. Can’t wait to hear Christmas music.
Sean, I thought your playing was fantastic. You have an incredible memory, so much of your playing is done without music and I always envied your ability to do this (as an orchestral player we get very reliant on music) Well done and great to see you and Sally in New Brunswick, almost a month ago already! Check at my blog on the BBC Concert Orchestra website to read about my Children In Need challenge………
Sean…I am a Gideon and I have worked with your father in Barbados..Praise God for your talent and the sharing you enjoy with others…I look forward to hearing more, Blessings!
Thank you, Sean. Your music like the fresh air in this dusty world.
Be Blessed!
HI, SEAN. THIS IS RYAN. I JUST WANT TO SAY HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALTHOUGH IT SHALL GO ON FOREVER NOW THAT IT IS COMING TO CHRISTMAS. I ALSO WANT TO THANK YOUR FATHER FOR POSTING THIS WONDERFUL PIECE OF MUSIC. LOOK OUT FOR MINE ON FACEBOOK SOON. GOD BLESS YOU.
When Bach is in his joyous mode, as he is in Nun Danket, it is pure unadulterated joy straight from the throne of God.
Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving Sean and Sally!!!
Dear Sean,
yes, we should all be thankful for the joy of music and certainly the beautiful organ that St. John has been entrusted with.
May God continue to richly endow your talents and skills –that you so generously share with all.
Wishing you and Sally and your family a wonderful holiday season !!
Hi Sean…..Always enjoy hearing this piece. Well done and on a wonderful instrument. You are blessed! I’m also originally from Barbados. Played piano from time to time sharing with Miss Squires at Berean Bible Church from when I was 12 and then when I was 16 a very small home organ with only 8 pedals played with the left foot. 🙂 Played that until moving to the US on November 2nd 1968 when I was 21. Have been playing in church for 52 years and hope to continue for many more! Signe Watson sent this on to me so will definitely check it out monthly. God Bless…..
Absolutley fantastic. Enjoyed it very much! 🙂
Thanks for your thanksgiving concerto, Sean. We watched it with Grace, Carole, Larry, Scott, Joe Dirr tonite. So the audience was quite diverse and terribly sophisticated. And a couple of us liked it, a lot. Others, not so much, preferring something that Barbie Streisand could sing…People, or Pop Goes the Weasel, This Little Heart of Mine, or YMCA.
Just kidding, guy. It was wonderful to enjoy. Thanks to you and for you and Sally, of course.
Sean, Two words to describe this rendition – inspiring and beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing this lovely song of thanks to God. May God continue to richly bless your music ministry.
Dear Sean, thanks once again for a very beautiful and uplifting broadcast. I give thanks for the skills and talents with which our good Lord has endowed you, and I thank you for so selflessly sharing them with us month after month. May He continue to shower you with His richest blessings as you continue your ministry of music.
Leonora
Hi Sean, I am happy to see that you are doing well. Your dad keeps me up-to-date with how you are doing and I keep praying for you. I love that piece of music you played. Only God knows that the world is starved right now for good music. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your wife and may God bless you both.
Promised filled heavenly music! Thank you Sean!
I’m thankful for the gift God has given you, to be able to bless all of us with music that turns our hearts toward Him in joyful adoration. God bless you and Sally this Thanksgiving!
Hi Jill. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Thank you for your encouraging words.
Love your passionate playing! Enjoyed the concert you gave a few years ago at Trinity Church Wall Street in NY! Very uplifting!
Excellent Thank you for posting!
Marvelous! Thank you for this appropriate Thanksgiving hymn, played with such passion as to evoke a thankful heart in all who hear it.
