  1. Personally, I found it a bit slow. One will remember, Music in not on the page; it’s in the ear. I would love to hear your own arrangement of this great piece. You have access to a wonderful instrument and I’m sure you have the skill. So, why not? Sent with love. CVD

  5. Virgil Fox would be very pleased to hear you playing this the way you do. It may be secular to say so, but it actually swings.

  10. No. It’s a 6800 pipe organ (116 ranks) that is essentially an American classic. It started off as a Roosevelt but eventually E. M. Skinner took it over. It was revoiced by Bruce Shultz of Philadelphia in the early 90s.

  15. Sean, I thought your playing was fantastic. You have an incredible memory, so much of your playing is done without music and I always envied your ability to do this (as an orchestral player we get very reliant on music) Well done and great to see you and Sally in New Brunswick, almost a month ago already! Check at my blog on the BBC Concert Orchestra website to read about my Children In Need challenge………

  19. Hi Sean…..Always enjoy hearing this piece. Well done and on a wonderful instrument. You are blessed! I’m also originally from Barbados. Played piano from time to time sharing with Miss Squires at Berean Bible Church from when I was 12 and then when I was 16 a very small home organ with only 8 pedals played with the left foot. 🙂 Played that until moving to the US on November 2nd 1968 when I was 21. Have been playing in church for 52 years and hope to continue for many more! Signe Watson sent this on to me so will definitely check it out monthly. God Bless…..

  20. Thanks for your thanksgiving concerto, Sean. We watched it with Grace, Carole, Larry, Scott, Joe Dirr tonite. So the audience was quite diverse and terribly sophisticated. And a couple of us liked it, a lot. Others, not so much, preferring something that Barbie Streisand could sing…People, or Pop Goes the Weasel, This Little Heart of Mine, or YMCA.

Just kidding, guy. It was wonderful to enjoy. Thanks to you and for you and Sally, of course.
